Job Description

The purpose of the Pro Device Business Development Manager is to educate and drive Windows 11 Pro device refresh with resellers and their end users on Dell, HP and Lenovo, by segmenting the customer base, identifying business opportunities, developing and implementing strategic plans, building relationships with key partners and customers, and driving pipeline to closure. The role involves working closely with customers, vendors, internal sales and marketing teams to ensure that business objectives are met. The Business Development Manager is responsible for analyzing the market, identifying growth areas and developing & implementing strategies to increase device refreshment and sales.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive Windows 11 readiness with resellers
  • Organize and execute POC/Technical Assessment events for top SMB customers.
  • Develop and track monthly customer RAD Plan (Retain, Acquire and Develop) accounts
  • Understand the development strategy of each brand and execute on sales growth strategies.
  • Conduct webinars for resellers and their customers.
  • Generate, track, convert and close pipeline deals
  • Scope and design solutions
  • Coordinate event and readiness calendars, organize events, and ensure successful execution.
  • Engage with resellers post-event to ensure customer follow-up and timely execution of agreed plans.
  • Achieving internal and external targets and KPA’s.
  • Understand vendor compensation programs and deal registration processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, management), resellers, and MNA contacts to optimize program execution
  • Act as subject matter expert on Pro devices for Dell, HP and Lenovo
  • Complete training and certifications
  • Stay constantly updated with all developments and trends in the market
Educational Requirements
  • Matric, preferably with mathematics (Essential)
  • A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma in Sales, Marketing, or IT will be an advantage
Experience and Skills Required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a distribution environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience collaborating with sales teams
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an IT Sales position
  • Previous experience selling and working with customers at all levels of an organization including high-profile customers
  • Proven track record of sales success (preferably within the ICT Distribution industry)
  • Proven track record of working with partners and resellers to drive technical readiness and adoption.
  • Working experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience building relationships both externally and internally
  • Prior experience working in a target driven position (minimum of three years)
  • Strong understanding of Windows 11 features, system requirements, and deployment strategies.
  • Local and regional travelling required
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport required
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and MS Excel Skills with a minimum skill of being able to use formulas, calculations, pivot tables and V-Lookups in a spreadsheet
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning and execution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Excellent presentation skills for conducting webinars and training sessions.
  • Analytical skills to track and report on engagement activities and pipeline results.
  • Able to complete basic calculations (ability to work with numbers)
  • Organized individual who is deadline driven with good time management skills
