Job description

Our client is looking for a bright, energetic, and charismatic young go-getter with a hunger to learn and grow within a dynamic organization. The individual must not be afraid to roll up their sleeves, display a can-do attitude, and enjoy working in a fast-growing, fun but hardworking environment. The role involves working according to a weekly schedule and responsibilities such as managing and developing On Trade customer accounts based in the KZN region. The BDM role requires competent individuals to increase revenue, volume, and profit for existing and new products across the On Trade market.

Main Purpose / Objectives of the Job :
  1. Develop and grow our client’s On Trade business in the Kwa-Zulu Natal - Durban region.
  2. Have comprehensive knowledge of our client’s product and pricing portfolio.
  3. Plan for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly trade effectiveness.
  4. Execute and manage pricing, promotional, and incentive programs to meet sales and promotional goals. Grow brand reach by negotiating and securing new listings.
  5. Conduct quarterly business review/planning meetings with key stakeholders. Keep all customer accounts and related administration updated.
  6. Develop understanding of the Skynamo sales force tool.
  7. Promote and activate at events when required.
  8. Carry out any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. A completed degree in Commercial Streams such as Entrepreneurship, Economics, Retail Management, or Business Management.
  2. 2+ years of experience, preferably in an FMCG sales environment.
  3. 1+ years of experience as a Sales Brand Ambassador.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word.
  5. Solid commercial acumen and numerical skills.
  6. Strong business development focus and ability to prioritize.
  7. Team-oriented with strong engagement skills with internal teams and stakeholders.
