Location: Scotland, North East, Yorkshire, Derbyshire

We are expanding our Sales team and introducing a new role of Business Development Manager. This is an exciting time to join our team as we introduce this key role that will drive market expansion and improve access to care for patients.

In essence, the Business Development Manager works in close collaboration with the Regional Sales Team to build partnerships with Consultants and other Senior Healthcare professionals. This role is predominantly focused within secondary care with the aim of developing and expanding services to give patients increased access to intermittent catheterisation and SpeediCath products.

Key accountabilities include:

  1. Work closely with Territory Manager and Regional Business Leader to drive key accounts to grow sales.
  2. Develop, expand, and implement IC services within secondary care across the region.
  3. Develop appropriate service solutions and business cases in line with funding, patient, and referral flows; influence key decision-makers to embed solutions in the trust.
  4. Develop impactful relationships with all customers, focusing on Consultants and other senior stakeholders.
  5. Maintain relationships and target accounts across the region effectively.
  6. Leverage Consultant support when Territory Managers and Regional Business Leaders seek to unlock formularies in the community.
  7. Design KPIs to track, monitor, and proactively review service delivery.
  8. Coordinate and deliver educational events involving Consultants and other senior strategic stakeholders.
  9. Ensure the service aligns with the CCG strategy, working in close alignment with the NHS Partnership Manager.
  10. Identify Key Opinion Leaders and potential product and brand advocates; develop partnerships with them.
  11. Lead adhoc projects aligned with our annual business planning process.
  12. Lead monthly business reviews with your RBL and internal stakeholders; deliver on actions per the Regional Business Plan.
  13. Collaborate with other IC BDMs to share initiatives and best practices.

Experience requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate experience in:

  • Working within acute Urology / Neurology Services (preferred).
  • Understanding NHS environment, funding, patient flow, and confidently discussing implications with customers.
  • Designing and reengineering NHS services.
  • Product and clinical knowledge within a medical/pharmaceutical environment.
  • Developing business cases and analyzing data for insights and opportunities.
  • Managing a geographically dispersed and senior stakeholder network, including consultants.
  • Delivering formularies and therapy development in secondary care.
  • Field-based sales experience and account management skills.
  • Full Driving Licence.
