Business Development Manager Mining MEA

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting structure:

This Position reports into the GM Regional Network Southern Africa

MEA Responsibility

1. Create long-term value for a business from customers, markets and relationships

2. Focuses on growing the business – they look into potential growth opportunities

3. Support and monitor the implementation of these opportunities

4. Commercial sales results with local organization and dealer network

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work closely with MEA Management team to devise and execute a company wide (MEA)

strategy that establishes Manitou as the Market Leader in MEA Region

2. Develop Highly effective relationship management capability.

3. Review and Improve the capability of all Dealers.

4. Identify constraints that affect agility and recommend solutions.

5. Review and improve the Supply chain and service offering to ensure it is proactive.

6. Evaluate and recommend how to establish a centre of excellence capability.

7. Establish regular Customer feedback process to create high self awareness.

8. Identify and project the current and future routes to market and how Manitou will adapt.

9. Establish Reporting Framework that captures all of the above and shows progress on deliverables and results.

EDUCATION:

• Minimum qualification: Degree/ H Diploma in a technical discipline is essential.

EXPERIENCE:

• 10 Years+ experience in Commercial Management of Mining Customers

• Demonstrates a high level of technical understanding of mining operations and requirements.

• Proven Track record in Sales Management

• Proven Capability in Project Management and ability to execute projects

• Proven experience in working with senior stakeholders and Client relationship management

• Advanced Computer literacy and data analysis.

• Adept at learning methods process and strategies related to mining

• Cultural awareness

• Extensive knowledge of the African mining market
