SUMMARY :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence within the logistics and supply chain sector in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, logistics operations, and a deep understanding of the Kenyan market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain services.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, sales, and customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
  • Monitor sales performance and report on KPIs, pipeline status, and forecasting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales or business development in the logistics or supply chain industry in Kenya.
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, or transport logistics.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
Skills
  • Existing network of logistics clients or industry contacts.
  • Knowledge of regional logistics corridors (e.g., Northern Corridor, Port of Mombasa).
  • Experience with digital logistics platforms or SaaS logistics solutions.
