Business Development Manager – Johannesburg

Technical ~ Sales / Marketing / Communications

Location: JHB North, Johannesburg – Gauteng

Remuneration: R500 000 – R600 000 per annum neg. based on experience

Benefits: Provident Fund + Medical Aid + Company Car and Fuel

Leading South African Metal Foundry seeks experienced and motivated Sales and Business Development professional with a proven track record of successful trade and negotiation. Candidate must also have an established database of active clients for reference. Extensive knowledge of trade and industry for the sector is highly advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage regional sales team
  2. Ensure sales targets are reached
  3. Ensure revenue growth for regional office
  4. Ensure quality service and customer relations at all times
  5. Technical liaison between Foundry and clients
  6. Assisting in quoting on new jobs for potential clients
  7. Promote business products and services to potential clients
  8. Generate new business leads in region and surrounding provinces
  9. New business development in neighbouring African countries

Experience & Qualifications

  1. Valid Matric certificate
  2. Tertiary qualifications (advantageous)
  3. Sales and management experience (non-negotiable) Min 5-10 years
  4. Foundry experience (advantageous)
  5. Foundry related trade (advantageous)
  6. Ability to read technical drawings (advantageous)
  7. Active database of clients (not necessarily industry specific)
  8. Travel experience and cross border experience necessary
