Job Description

The position requires the candidate to travel to the Indian Ocean Islands at least once every 6 weeks, spending approximately 10 days visiting customers and developing current business.

The Business Development Manager is expected to:

  1. Achieve profit budgets, which the candidate will set annually with the MD's approval.
  2. Identify and pursue market opportunities.
  3. Negotiate trades effectively using sales skills.
  4. Maintain high-quality client relationships.
  5. Comply with market regulations.
  6. Operate within logistical and financial controls of the company.
Desired Experience and Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

  1. Fluent French speaking ability.
  2. Knowledge of exports and logistics.
  3. Proven success in negotiating and closing deals.
  4. Good knowledge of FMCG products.
Skills Required

The candidate should possess:

  1. Strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret figures.
  2. Working knowledge of INCOTERMS for buying and selling.
