Job Description

The position requires the candidate to travel to the Indian Ocean Islands at least once every 6 weeks, spending approximately 10 days visiting customers and developing our current business.

The Business Development Manager is expected to:

  1. Achieve profit budgets, which the candidate will set annually with the approval of the MD.
  2. Seek and identify market opportunities.
  3. Successfully negotiate trades using negotiation and sales skills.
  4. Maintain high levels of service to clients through relationship building.
  5. Comply with regulations of various markets.
  6. Work comfortably within the company's logistical and financial controls.
Desired Experience and Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Fluent in French.
  • Knowledge of exports and logistics.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and deal closures.
  • Good knowledge of FMCG products.
