Our client is a prominent software development firm renowned for its expertise in crafting payment solutions

tailored for banks and financial services across Africa. Since its inception as a small startup in 2005, our client has experienced steady growth, now serving over 35 customers in 13 countries. Their solutions cover the entire

spectrum of payment operations, including origination, information retention, and processing, making them an

indispensable partner in the financial technology sector.

Job Location : Johannesburg, South Africa

Candidate Location : South Africa

Work Type : Hybrid

Job Type : Full-time, Contract / Permanent

Working Hours : 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm (GMT+2)

Salary : R20 000 - R75 000 CTC per month

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of experience in Business Development
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Prior experience in the fintech and payments industry. (Advantageous)
  • Demonstrated success in business development and sales roles within the software development industry, more specifically in the banking and financial services sector.
  • Deep understanding of payments
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Open to regular travel for professional purposes.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the banking and financial services utilities
  • Develop and deliver on sales plans to achieve business goals and targets
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director.
  • Conduct market research
  • Analyse industry trends to identify potential clients.
  • Carry out the sales process from lead identification to deal closure.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
  • Work together with the support team to create and present proposals
  • Represent our client at client engagements and industry conferences etc
