Business Development Manager

Our client, a power solutions company with offices in Somerset West and Johannesburg, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team in their Johannesburg Office. The ideal candidate is someone that is confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks and that can get things done.

We are looking for a go-getter.

Responsibilities:
  1. Actively seek out, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities.
  2. Ensure legal and contractual compliance.
  3. Ensure financial viability and operational deliveries are mapped out and met.
  4. Build relationships, build the company's brand, and ensure client requirements are addressed when developing new business opportunities.
  5. Ensure new business ventures align with and complement the great growth strategy.
Required skills and qualifications:
  1. Bachelor of commerce degree (or equivalent) or Engineering degree.
  2. Successful track record in business development.
  3. Knowledge of the power / solar industry / generators / micro grids sectors.
  4. Ability to find own leads to turn into new clients.
  5. Ability to run with new clients who have already signed.

Salary: Market related and depending on experience.

Area: Johannesburg (Rosebank and West Rand).

Years Experience: 5 to 10 years plus in a Business Development Manager position, ideally in the renewable energy engineering sectors.
