Job Posting Title: Business Development Manager, Perishable, Sky Services

Time Type: Full Time

Main purpose of role: The main purpose of the role is to gain new business in the market as well as maintain new business secured whilst increasing the logistics spend of each customer. Responsibilities include:

  1. Ability to compile rates proposals / Estimates and presentations.
  2. Ability to conduct customer implementation.
  3. All administrative functions within the sales environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Attend and complete the designated training for this program.
  2. Executive level engagement.
  3. Operational implementation of new business signed.
  4. Contract negotiations.
  5. Profit maximization.
  6. Tender, proposal and contract development.
  7. Stakeholder account and relationship management.
  8. Business value propositions.
  9. Consultative selling.
  10. Opportunity analysis and qualification.
  11. Fulfill reporting requirements including but not limited to CRM Tool management.

Job related requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 – 5 years C&F sales experience with exposure to both Air and Ocean products.
  2. Exposure to Reefer / Perishable products will be an advantage.

Electives:

  1. Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  2. Tertiary Qualification.
  3. Sales Courses.
  4. Computer packages: Basic Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word.
