Job description

The Business Development Lead - Channel will develop strategies and methods to effectively pitch and sell products to both BP & corporate customers, as well as build and maintain long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Franchise & Independent sales and relationship building
  2. Optimizing the customer network, including recruiting new clients and assisting existing ones
  3. Meeting monthly sales targets
  4. Developing monthly & annual business plans with growth objectives and sales goals
  5. Identifying areas with limited customer coverage and expanding these areas
  6. Conducting regular meetings with clients to review performance and define corrective actions
  7. Providing software demonstrations and presentations to potential and existing clients and partners
  8. Participating in marketing, franchise, and corporate events
  9. Collaborating closely with the Channel Partner Manager and management team

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience :

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  2. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  3. Commercial awareness across various areas
  4. Creativity, practicality, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  5. High computer literacy, including good Excel skills
  6. Experience in software solution sales
  7. Technical understanding of applications and technology
  8. Proven success in similar roles
  9. Knowledge of Retail or ERP solutions (preferred)

Special Role Requirements

A current SA driving license is preferred; overtime travel and overnight stays may be required.
