What will you do?

Job Purpose

To support the Business Development Manager(s) and to develop and increase Glacier Investment Channel's market share of retail investment business in the Central Johannesburg IFA market. The successful candidate will contribute to regional, provincial, and national distribution and sales strategy implementation.

Key Outcomes

The following outcomes are expected from the Business Development Consultant:

  • Based in Rosebank, with possible presence at Meersig (Roodepoort) and Lynwood (Pretoria) offices. Travel within the area is required.
Knowledge and Education
  • Training intermediaries’ assistants, office personnel, and intermediaries on Glacier products, processes, procedures, tools, and online systems (Investment Hub, G-Hub, Web).
  • Identify training needs to empower intermediaries and their staff.
  • Drive digital engagement to enhance platform utilization and build relationships with intermediaries.
Marketing and Sales Initiatives
  • Support the BDM in executing sales activities.
  • Coordinate marketing budget and conflict of interest register.
  • Lead marketing campaigns and manage training events and fund manager presentations.
Targets and Inflows
  • Assist in servicing intermediaries to meet monthly inflow targets across LISP, Life, and Glacier International.
  • Manage new business submissions and liaise with relevant teams for administration.
  • Support proposals, quotations, ICE, and other tools.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (FAIS, FICA, POPIA, TCF).
  • Use Business Intelligence reports to identify opportunities.
Administrative Support
  • Handle office administration and day-to-day support tasks.
  • Assist with client and intermediary inquiries and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Manage the intermediaries’ database.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize productivity.
  • Support the Regional Operational Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
  • B-Com and relevant financial or investment qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the investment industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of economic principles and investment products.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
