We are expanding our commercial team with an ambitious seller who is ready to help shape the next stage of our growth and unlock new markets.
This is a mid–senior role with high visibility and direct CEO collaboration. You will run your own deals end‑to‑end, represent CRS at key industry events, and play a meaningful role in shaping our evolving go‑to‑market approach.
CRS is seeking a Business Development Consultant - a commercially sharp, consultative seller who can independently engage client leaders, open strategic opportunities, and guide prospects through complex decision cycles with confidence.
You’ll operate with autonomy, supported by executive access, strategic input, and a strong brand with deep enterprise capability.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop, progress, and close high‑value opportunities across priority sectors, targeting mid‑market and enterprise organisations.
- Engage and build credibility at executive level
- Lead C‑Suite conversations with CEOs, CFOs, CHROs, HR Directors and compliance leaders - positioning CRS as a trusted advisor.
- Attend and speak at industry events, round tables, and partner engagements to expand CRS’s presence and generate qualified opportunities.
- Run sophisticated, consultative sales cycles
- Lead discovery, shape problem statements, build business cases, coordinate demos, develop proposals, navigate procurement, and close deals.
- Translate business needs into CRS solutions
- Work cross‑functionally to ensure proposals are strategically aligned and technically sound, partnering with product, delivery, and subject‑matter experts.
- Provide insight on market behaviour, competitor activity, pricing trends, and buyer needs. Your thinking will meaningfully shape our commercial strategy, messaging, and market approach.
- Collaborate with marketing on pipeline generation
- Influence campaigns, content, events, and outreach motions that strengthen demand and align with your target segments.
- Ensure forecasting accuracy, CRM hygiene, and consistent pipeline quality across all opportunities.
Qualifications
- Have 3+ years in B2B software, HR tech, payroll, ERP, HCM or similar consultative solution selling.
- Are comfortable running independent C‑Suite engagements and navigating multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Excel at discovery, qualification, solution framing, and building ROI / business cases.
- Can translate technical concepts into business value without over‑engineering explanations.
- Maintain a strong outbound rhythm and proactively open opportunities, not just manage inbound.
- Are structured, disciplined, and predictable in sales process and reporting.
- Bring curiosity, commercial intelligence, and a willingness to think deeply about client problems.
- Are ambitious for growth - and excited by a future pathway into commercial leadership
Required Skills
- Proven success in consultative B2B sales, ideally within software or workforce technology.
- Experience selling into mid‑market and enterprise environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly with executive audiences.
- Capable of building trust quickly and managing complex sales cycles.
- Comfortable operating both autonomously and collaboratively with senior leadership.
- Familiarity with HR, payroll, labour compliance, or finance environments is advantageous.
