A well-established and rapidly expanding player in the heavy equipment and truck body manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a Business Development & Aftersales Manager to be based in Gqeberha. This role plays a key part in driving sales performance, ensuring superior customer aftercare, and aligning commercial strategy with operational execution.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new opportunities in the truck body applications and component sectors. Collaborate with Engineering and Finance to develop customized solutions, including laser-cut and bent parts.
Sales Leadership: Execute and manage strategic sales plans aligned with revenue targets. Own the full tender submission process and maintain strong dealer and customer relationships to maximize conversion.
Aftersales & Warranty Management: Oversee aftersales services including warranty claims management, working closely with service providers to ensure timely customer support and satisfaction.
Marketing Coordination: Lead integrated marketing campaigns and manage the creation of marketing collateral including digital content, product specs, and event materials to reinforce brand visibility.
Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, ensuring alignment across production, engineering, finance, and sales. Represent the company professionally in all external engagements.
Strategic Planning: Monitor industry trends, develop long-term strategies for business expansion, and implement aftersales improvements based on customer feedback and competitor analysis.
Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or engineering within the truck or motor/body application industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Truck Science; basic CAD knowledge is advantageous.
Strong CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), data analysis, and contract management skills.
