Job Opportunity: Business Developer - Financial Services

A leader within the Financial Services Sector is looking to grow their team by hiring an experienced Business Developer based in Stellenbosch and Willowbridge. This role offers a hybrid working model with the possibility to work from home once settled.

This position focuses on expanding the business insurance portfolio by building a short-term insurance book through prospecting and selling both personal and commercial lines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation
  • Identify and pursue potential business clients through various channels
  • Make cold calls, network at events, and gain referrals from your network
  • Research online to find new lead avenues
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet sales objectives

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • At least 1 year of B2B sales experience
  • Experience in lead generation, client engagement, and presentations
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills

Note: If you have previous experience as a FAIS representative, the following are mandatory:

  • FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on DOFA)
  • RE5 (depending on DOFA)
