Job Title: Business Developer

A leader within the Financial Services Sector is looking to grow their team and hire an experienced Business Developer based in Johannesburg and Centurion. This hybrid role offers the option to work from home once settled into the role.

Role Focus

This role focuses on growing the business insurance portfolio by building a short-term insurance book through prospecting and selling both personal and commercial lines.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue potential business clients through various channels, including cold calls, networking at events, and gaining referrals. Conduct online research to find new leads and develop a strong sales pipeline to achieve sales objectives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Completed Matric or a National Senior Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • At least 1 year of sales experience within B2B sales
  • Experience in lead generation, client engagement, and presentations
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and building pipelines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • If previously a FAIS representative, must have FAIS credits / Full Insurance Qualifications and RE5 (depending on DOFA)

Reporting and Values

You will report to the Broker Regional Manager and work closely with the Commercial team. Candidates should align with the company's values of service, honesty, passion, and recognition.
