Job Description

A leader within the Financial Services Sector is looking to expand their team by hiring an experienced Business Developer based in Johannesburg and Centurion. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home once settled into the position.

This role primarily focuses on expanding the business insurance portfolio by prospecting and selling both personal and commercial lines to build a short-term insurance book.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue potential business clients through various channels, including cold calls, networking at events, and gaining referrals from your network. Ability to research online for new leads is also essential. Maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet sales objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completed Matric or a National Senior Certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • At least 1 year of B2B sales experience, with a track record in lead generation, client engagement, and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.

If you have previous experience as a FAIS representative, the following are mandatory:

  • FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on DOFA).
  • RE5 (depending on DOFA).

You will report directly to the Broker Regional Manager and collaborate with the wider Commercial team.
