Job description

The Role:

Responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing business activities and operating results from both a financial and operational perspective within a specific customer segment. The role involves identifying improvement areas, implementing action plans aligned with business objectives, and focusing on cost containment and profitability enhancement. Driving continuous improvement is a key aspect of this position.

Key Requirements:
COST EFFECTIVENESS
  • Ensure effective management of Net Working Capital.
  • Analyze financial information to identify improvement areas.
  • Develop and execute action plans.
  • Report on improvements resulting from implemented actions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve Networking Capital.
EFFECTIVE CONTROL MEASURES
  • Implement controls to mitigate risks and monitor deviations.
  • Act as a business partner and advisor to the business line manager.
  • Perform profitability analysis before contracts or amendments to target profitable opportunities and limit risks.
  • Make strategic recommendations.
  • Be accountable for and measure monthly balance sheet and P&L for the customer segment.
  • Produce timely and accurate management reports.
EFFECTIVE BUDGET
  • Control costs and investigate deviations from the budget.
  • Conduct variance analysis and develop solutions.
  • Take remedial actions, such as aligning headcount with business demands.
  • Handle budgeting and forecasting processes.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Manage cross-functional projects (e.g., Accounts receivable, service exchange).
  • Engage with both the business and customers.
  • Analyze data and develop operational or financial solutions.
Your Profile:
  • Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification.
  • BCOM Honours Degree in Finance, CIMA (ACMA status).
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience, including:
  • Experience in setting up internal control policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing inventory systems, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
