Main Purpose of the Role

The R-SSC Business Controller's mission is to analyze the P&L (above EBITA) reporting of different entities within the region, ensuring accurate and reliable financials that drive profitability and performance. The Business Controller supports the Country Management/Managing Director with clear, objective insights on daily business matters based on site performance and provides operational guidance. The role involves full business partnering, offering comprehensive finance support to the business.

Qualifications
  • Matric with a minimum of 70% in Accounting and Maths in high school.
  • BCom Accounting with Honours or currently studying towards honours.
  • CIMA or CA(SA) qualification is an advantage.
Computer Literacy Level
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a business controlling or financial management role.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present internal management accounts based on SAP BPC and TMS reports, including variance analysis.
  • Analyze site results and propose initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Organize and guide the budget process; prepare P&L budgets using SAP BPC.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and report to regional management.
  • Improve processes related to work-in-progress estimations and gross profit.
  • Review billing system reconciliations (TMS with SAP/CW1/others).
  • Monitor gross profit trends and provide forecasts; verify actual numbers.
  • Generate reports such as sales, client profitability, daily dashboards, and EBIT bridges.
  • Serve as the contact point between the regional shared service center and operations.
  • Drive improvements in net working capital.
  • Ensure SAP controlling structure is validated and updated.
  • Analyze staff costs, FTEs, customs issues, etc.
  • Participate in local management meetings representing R-SSC.
  • Ensure compliance with financial processes across departments.
  • Assist with audits by providing relevant information.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the board and business cases.
  • Conduct internal audits and report findings with recommendations.
  • Review board meeting presentations.
  • Promote profitability and performance through reviews, training, and support.
