Mission

As a Business Controller, you play a crucial role in supporting this mission by providing financial transparency and insights that enable our organization to make informed decisions and drive value creation. As we continue to modernize and align our finance team with the current Atlas Copco structures, you will be a key player in driving operational excellence in the ASR Sub-Saharan Africa strategy.

Your work as a guardian of the SPARK project will ensure that its implementation is embraced by different departments in the organization, and that resources and structures are in place to facilitate its success. Our goal is to create a culture of awareness throughout the organization, where every team member understands their contribution towards our financial success.

You will play an essential role in achieving this by organizing financial awareness trainings for the RandAir team and all levels of the organization.

With your expertise in financial analysis and reporting, you will ensure that our organization has a clear understanding of its financial position and the actions needed to reach our goals. In addition, you will actively support our African Expansion and Acquisition strategy, seeking out solutions to overcome challenges in doing business in new territories. Through your leadership and guidance, you will empower the Business Control team to not only enable but also to drive management for value creation throughout the organization.

With your commitment to financial transparency, operational excellence, and strategic alignment, you will play a pivotal role in realizing our mission of providing specialized, agile solutions that promote sustainable growth and development in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Main Objectives

  1. Continue to modernize the structure of the finance team to allow optimal implementation of the mission.
  2. Align the organization around the direction for the next 3 years - provide strong, clear, consistent communication.
  3. Ensure that our employees are given the opportunity and encouragement to reach their full potential.
  4. Nurture a culture of collaboration, transparency, speed and continuous improvement.
  5. Build a solid mechanism to maintain a pipeline of new talent.

Support the management to keep an eye on talent in other departments of the organization. Support the development of the full potential plan by providing maximum transparency of figures, guarding templates and supporting the different teams. Ensure there is enough focus and resources in place to guarantee the successful implementation and adoption of the SPARK program. Support the seismic change that will need to occur as a result of SPARK and the other transformation projects. Maintain a strong customer focus throughout all the teams in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Localization and communication of the ASR vision to the finance team, in a clear and inspiring way.
  2. Action priority setting and execution, in line with the vision.
  3. Leadership, coaching and teambuilding.
  4. Development of a top talent pipeline to ensure sustainability of the region's performance.

Expected Activities

  1. Total focus on execution, which means identifying weaknesses, creating plans and setting priorities.
  2. Collection and implementation of the best practices from other regions.
  3. Financial management, know where we are, why, and how to reach the agreed target.
  4. Ensure proper implementation of new business processes and digital tools through the SPARK program.
  5. Create organizational awareness and focus to develop data as a revenue-generating product.
  6. Development, coaching and mentoring of both the immediate team and beyond.
  7. Organization development and selection - make sure we have the right people in the right place, using all their potential.
  8. Creation of a workplace that provides equal opportunity for equal talent.
  9. Visioning of the future needs of the business and organization.

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Finance, Engineering, IT or equivalent through experience.
