Job summary

Pragma is seeking a Business Area Manager in Cape Town to lead enterprise strategy, drive growth, and improve performance across manufacturing and facilities management. You will shape governance, develop senior leaders, and strengthen client relationships while ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

The role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional oversight, and the ability to translate strategy into execution with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, Strategy, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior management level.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Manufacturing and Facilities Management industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams or geographically dispersed teams.
• Prior accountability for P&L, or commercial outcomes.
• Proven involvement in company-wide initiatives such as team changes, or strategic initiatives.

The Business Area Manager will is a commercially astute and strategic senior leader to help shape and execute Pragma’s enterprise strategy while driving operational excellence, business growth, and organisational performance. The successful candidate will lead high-impact initiatives, provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making, strengthen client and market relationships, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Working closely with executive leadership, they will oversee governance, risk, and performance outcomes while developing senior leaders and contributing to Pragma’s long-term success and sustainability.

  • Drive performance improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.

  • Build and maintain senior level relationships with key clients and partners, as required.
