Job description

Purpose of the Job

The Business and Solutions Analyst is responsible for all delivery aspects of partner implementations, integrations, and new solutions for the business and its customers.

About the Company

VALUE is a supply chain service provider delivering services to major suppliers/principals and leading retailers. Each partner involved in the program requires a technical integration to connect their systems to the VALUE processing platform.

API protocols are used for communication, with real-time message exchanges.

Internally, several microservices and systems are developed, maintained, and optimized to provide accurate information and tools to the business. The role involves securing new business through pre-sales consultancy, creative solution design, and project execution. It is part of the VALUE IT Applications team, supporting the business with technical and system capabilities.

This position reports to the CIO, with potential changes as the business evolves.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understanding Platform & Projects: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the VALUE processing platform and integration projects.
  2. Pre-Sales & Technical Consultation: Provide pre-sales consultancy with sales and business teams to prospective and current partners, promoting VALUE's technical architectures and integration methods.
  3. Solution Design & Project Planning: Collaborate with technical staff to design end-to-end integration solutions, create project plans, and ensure successful delivery.
  4. Project Initiation & Communication: Initiate projects, secure resources, and communicate plans and expectations to stakeholders.
  5. Business Process Analysis: Document and analyze business processes for optimization, presenting solutions for approval.
  6. Project Execution & Ownership: Oversee project execution, including network setup, technical coordination, testing, and documentation.
  7. Stakeholder Reporting & Support: Maintain visibility on project efforts, act as a functional expert, and assist in incident resolution.
  8. Promotion of Standards: Advocate for standardization, consistency, and quality across the business.
  9. Additional Duties: Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the CIO.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Grade 12 (Matric)
  2. Proven experience in partner integration projects, preferably in supply chain, logistics, or retail sectors
  3. Significant project management experience with multitasking ability
  4. Strong command of English, both spoken and written
Skills Required
  1. Technical experience in designing, specifying, and developing IT solutions
  2. Familiarity with integration protocols
  3. Experience delivering integrations for internal and external solutions
