Senior Business Analyst Financial Services (Insurance / Banking)

Type : Contract

Seniority : at least 8 years and ideally 10 years as a Senior BA

We are actively recruiting for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a solid background in Finance (Accounting, Tax, etc.). This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a strategic and high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide thought leadership in designing optimal business solutions based on sound business principles and financial frameworks.
  2. Craft and refine high-level business requirements and features in collaboration with Finance Teams.
  3. Lead the breakdown of features into user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
  4. Support cross-functional teams in the successful implementation of business requirements.
  5. Drive continuous improvement in business analysis practices and contribute to project delivery.

Must Haves

  • 8-10 years experience as a Senior Business Analyst with working experience within the Financial Services industry (Insurance, Asset Management, or Banking).
  • Solid Accounting / Finance experience is essential.
  • Certification or qualification as a Business Analyst (e.g., IIBA BABOK, CBAP, FTI, or related) is required.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance (Financial Degree or CA(SA)) is highly advantageous / preferable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with key strategic stakeholders.
