To enable change by defining the needs and the rationale for change, understand the current state, define the future state, and determine the activities required to move from the current to the future state by applying the principles of business analysis, according to the requirements classification schema, from a diverse array of multi-functional perspectives with an agile mindset. Address complex challenges or opportunities, find ways to deliver business value for any change challenge, guide others to help them deliver better business outcomes, and provide insight to situations within or outside of the sphere of influence. Pair with Product Designers (CX/UX), Business Architects, Testers (QA), Business Data Managers (BDM), and key roles in the requirements value chain. Apply the principles of Product Ownership Analysis and the strategy-to-execution framework. Lead other BAs in delivery of enterprise-wide solutions where required and/or act as the business subject matter expert.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct and lead iterative and adaptive planning and monitoring tasks to estimate, organize, and coordinate BA efforts on large/complex enterprise initiatives.
- Lead elicitation and collaboration tasks to gather information from stakeholders and confirm results.
- Lead requirements analysis and design definition to structure, organize, specify, and model requirements and designs, validate information, identify solution options, and estimate potential value.
- Manage requirements throughout their lifecycle from inception to retirement.
- Define future and transition states through strategy analysis to address business needs.
- Assess solution performance and value delivery, and eliminate barriers to maximize benefits.
- Execute according to IIBA best practices, agile product delivery, and lean principles based on Nedbank's approach.
- Discover and deliver requirements across all product dimensions and categories.
- Understand and co-create operational value streams, strategic themes, product roadmaps, vision, KPIs, and metrics.
- Explore and articulate opportunities/problems, stakeholder needs, and participate in solution definition.
- Use visual diagrams and collaborative games to model scope, interfaces, data flows, processes, and dependencies.
- Document Epics, features, themes, and analyze user stories, gaps, acceptance criteria, and scenarios.
- Own decomposition of portfolio epics, features, and ensure reuse of requirements.
- Collaborate with process and capability teams to align efforts.
- Drive resolution of impediments and synthesize data to articulate requirements.
- Coordinate with development and QA teams for test case identification, UAT, training, change management, and commercialization support.
- Lead backlog refinement, planning, and promote DevOps and quality principles.
- Analyze and model data requirements and flows with Data Managers.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships for backlog discovery, dependencies, and enterprise delivery.
- Conduct system demos, contribute to continuous improvement, and lead ceremonies with Agile teams.
- Promote minimum viable thinking and early risk remediation.
Formal Qualifications
- Essential: Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred: Honours Degree
Certifications
- Essential: SAFE or any agile/scrum certification
- Preferred: IIBA-endorsed BA certificate
Experience
- 7-10 years of BA experience, managing multiple IT projects, exposure to enterprise-wide programs, and leadership roles.
- Understanding of HR, Procurement, Real Estate, Finance processes.
- Experience with SAP BTP, Workzone, SAP Fiori, Jira/Confluence, research methodology, design thinking, strategy, BA Body of Knowledge, Agile, Process Engineering, and decision-making tools.
