A leading company in Financial Services seeks a Tax Business Analyst to enhance efficiency and design improvements within business processes. The role requires expertise in tax systems, strong analytical skills, and proven experience in stakeholder engagement, driving both innovation and compliance in tax-related projects. Role PurposeTo support the Tax Department in analysing, improving, and redesigning core and support business processes—from current state assessments to post-implementation support.
The goal is to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and straight-through processing, with clearly defined exception management.The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with hands-on experience in : Tax systems & accountingSystem migrationsData analysis and insightsRegulatory & tax reportingBusiness process improvementRequirementsBachelor's degree in taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years' experience in a Linked Investments or Financial Services environment.Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Analysis and / or Process Improvement.Proven experience working in Agile environments.Demonstrated ability to work independently in high-volume, complex settings.Experience with API development and implementation is highly advantageous.Strong interest in business systems and process optimisation.Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness AnalysisConduct detailed tax-related business analysis through stakeholder engagement (workshops, interviews, research).Develop expert-level knowledge of tax systems, procedures, and product-specific tax implications.Identify and escalate tax risks that may impact the business.Document current tax-relevant procedures and systems.Translate business requirements into detailed solution specifications, ensuring alignment with tax and business objectives.Lead tax-related clean-up and remediation projects in collaboration with support teams.Data AnalysisWrite and interpret data queries.Analyse large datasets to uncover insights and support solution development.Use tools such as QlikView, Power BI, Excel, SQL, and databases for data analysis and reporting.Process ImprovementMap current and future state processes to identify optimisation opportunities.Facilitate process workshops with business and technology stakeholders.Design and implement process improvements and control mechanisms.Track, monitor, and measure the impact of implemented changes.Conduct root cause analysis and maintain process documentation.Promote process adoption and compliance among finance users.Apply methodologies such as Design Thinking to drive innovation.Problem Solving & Solution DesignIdentify business challenges and propose effective, scalable solutions.Contribute to the design of tax systems and applications aligned with business and technical goals.Testing & Change ManagementSupport user acceptance testing and assist in developing training materials.Facilitate change management efforts, including training and post-implementation support.As an applicant, please verify the legitimacy of this job advert on our company career page.-
