Purpose of Position :
The Business Analyst Manager is responsible for leading a team of IT Business Analyst professionals and championing the BA Guild.
This role will work closely with BAs, Architects, Delivery Managers, Delivery Teams, Business stakeholders, and Product Owners to drive business analysis process and practice improvements.
Requirements :
BABOK certification (Advantageous) (Required)
University Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or Business Administration (Post Graduate Degree preferred) (Required)
Required Experience :
8 – 12 years' direct work experience
Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language
Understanding of product management and market placement
Knowledge of the organization's core business processes and operations
Project management skills and experience with project management software, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Exceptional analytical and statistical skills
Experience overseeing software and hardware solutions, systems, or products development and implementation
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling / mapping, elicitation, and data modeling using BPMN notation
Understanding of application development and SDLC concepts
Key Responsibilities :
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, and standards compliance
Interpret user requirements and communicate feasible options to stakeholders
Research software and hardware products to meet requirements and support purchasing
Promote requirements management principles and effective lifecycle models
Communicate changes and updates to project teams and stakeholders
Conduct interviews and workshops to gather user requirements
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and maps
Develop and review business requirements to ensure correct interpretation
Develop organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for requirements management
Identify and design business processes for efficiency improvements and automation opportunities
Lead design sessions for new systems and prototypes
Oversee QA of purchased solutions
Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Guide and instruct junior staff members
Map existing business processes and define current activities
Negotiate with stakeholders to manage priorities and conflicts
Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed changes
Lead scoping, requirements definition, and priority setting for strategic programs
Prepare reports and recommendations for process improvements
