Role : To enable change by defining the needs and rationale for change, understanding the current state, defining the future state, and determining the activities required to transition from the current to the future state by applying business analysis principles according to the requirements classification schema. This involves working from diverse multi-functional perspectives with an agile mindset.
Complete complex tasks or larger, well-scoped challenges independently and identify appropriate actions to address business challenges.
Collaborate with Product Designers (CX / UX), Business Architects, Testers (QA), Business Data Managers (BDM), and key roles in the requirements value chain.
Apply principles of Product Ownership Analysis and the strategy-to-execution framework.
Job Responsibilities :
- Conduct iterative and adaptive planning and monitoring to estimate, organize, and coordinate BA efforts on large/complex enterprise initiatives.
- Perform elicitation and collaboration to gather information from stakeholders.
- Analyze requirements and define designs to structure, organize, specify, and model requirements and solutions.
- Manage requirements throughout their lifecycle from inception to retirement.
- Conduct strategy analysis to define future and transition states, addressing business needs and solution scope.
- Evaluate solutions to assess performance and value, removing barriers to full realization.
- Follow IIBA best practices, agile delivery, and lean principles aligned with client delivery approaches.
- Analyze and document requirements related to changes in users, interfaces, processes, data flows, constraints, and environments.
- Align requirements with the portfolio's strategic themes, product roadmap, vision, KPIs, and metrics.
- Understand program and team backlog elements and ensure requirements alignment.
- Explore and articulate opportunities/problems, stakeholder needs, and define solutions.
- Use visual diagrams and collaborative techniques to model scope, interfaces, data flows, processes, and dependencies.
- Decompose and document epics, features, themes, hypotheses, PI objectives, and user stories, identifying gaps and acceptance criteria.
- Own decomposition of portfolio epics, features, and manage requirements throughout the value chain.
- Collaborate with teams to support process and capability alignment, impediments, and data synthesis.
- Work with development and QA teams on test cases, user acceptance testing, and change management.
- Participate in backlog refinement, prioritization, WSJF, and planning, promoting DevOps and quality principles.
- Analyze and model data requirements across product dimensions, partnering with BDMs.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement for discovery, delivery, dependencies, and enterprise delivery.
- Conduct system demos and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Lead program ceremonies and support agile practices like minimum viable thinking and continuous deployment.
- Identify risks, reduce waste, and support early remediation efforts.
Essential Qualification :
NQF Level: Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification :
IT qualifications, Certificate in BA endorsed by IIBA, SAFE Certification
Preferred Certifications :
IIBA endorsed
Minimum Experience Level :
5 – 8 Years BA experience, managing multiple IT projects, exposure to complex projects, business, and industry sectors.
