Purpose Statement

• To optimise business efficiencies enabled through automation, digital, information and communications technologies by systematically analysing, defining and documenting business requirements and functional specifications.
• The Business Analyst will work closely with Business, Product and Technology stakeholders to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, analyse impacts and dependencies, and translate business requirements into practical and effective solutions.
• The role will contribute across the Business Analysis lifecycle, supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of payment-related products, processes and technology solutions.

Education (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum:

• 5+ years' experience in Business Analysis, with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Internal: Completion of BA School of Learning Level 3
• Experience across key Business Analysis activities, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, process analysis and solution support.
• Experience working with business and technology stakeholders in a complex organisational environment.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies and/or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience analysing business processes and translating requirements into appropriate business processes, context diagrams, process flows, visual explanations and other relevant artefacts.
• Ability to understand business and system impacts, identify gaps and dependencies, and consider the broader impact of proposed changes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Technology and other stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ability to communicate effectively across business and technical environments.

Ideal:

• Experience with payment products or payment-related solutions.
• Experience with digital payments or open banking solutions.
• Exposure to API-based integrations and system/data flows.
