Job Purpose

The Business Analyst (HR Analytics) provides data-driven insights to support HR decision-making. This role involves analysing remuneration, leave trends, exit and stay interviews, and developing comprehensive people dashboards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Maintain integrity and quality of people data
  • Analyse remuneration data for trends and anomalies
  • Provide input for Bank Board and Remco reports
  • Conduct income differential analysis and provide recommendations
  • Review variable pay and recalibrate targets as needed
  • Analyse overtime trends for cost management
  • Complete quarterly Stats SA reports
  • Analyse exit and stay interview data to identify retention drivers
  • Track leave usage and trends for workforce planning
  • Develop and maintain an HR 'People dashboard'
  • Identify development needs based on IDPs
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and standard reports for managers
  • Submit regulatory reports such as Employment Equity
  • Monitor adherence to working models
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work with business and HR teams to understand data needs
    • Coordinate with IT for data integrity and system issues
    • Act as liaison with the central People team
    • Present findings to senior management
  • Process Improvement:
    • Implement improvements in data collection and reporting
    • Maintain documentation of processes
    • Ensure data quality in onboarding and promotion processes
  • Compliance & Best Practices:
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws
    • Stay updated on HR analytics trends

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, statistics, or related field
    • 3-5 years’ experience in analytics with tools like Excel and PowerBI
    • Experience in remuneration analytics is advantageous
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis techniques
