Job description

About the job: Business Analyst (Healthcare)

Position(s) are available at both an Associate level (3 years relevant experience) and a Senior level (8+ years experience).

Job purpose: Understand business requirements and, through structured process documentation, validate and translate them into functional specifications used by technical experts to craft analytical solutions.

Ensure robust process and business documentation is maintained and updated in line with product roadmaps.

Build strong relationships across teams involved in analytical delivery.

Core responsibilities include:

  1. Facilitate the development of a business case by working with analytical product owners.
  2. Document and understand client requirements using the Customer Requirements Specification (CRS).
  3. Design and validate functional solutions by interpreting the CRS into Product Requirements Specifications (PRS).
  4. Demonstrate GUI prototypes to validate designs.
  5. Propose solutions by reviewing approved CRS and PRS.
  6. Assist project managers and owners by updating and reporting on progress and managing delivery; conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) if required.
  7. Ensure testing of solutions by applying the test basket.
  8. Update and publish release notes related to changes; maintain and update all related documentation; perform live monitoring during go-live.
  9. Respond to incidents and conduct preliminary analysis of issues.
  10. Document the SLA.
  11. Participate in internal delivery forums.

What you need to be successful:

Behavioral skills: Communication skills across stakeholders, ability to work cohesively in a team, high attention to detail, resilience, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and ability to give and receive feedback.

Technical understanding: Knowledge of healthcare analytics tools, informatics, healthcare technology, data science, clinical tools, healthcare reporting, healthcare benefit pricing, and fraud and operations environment.

Qualifications: Informatics or relevant degree (Honours preferred); experience in healthcare technology is advantageous.
