Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on fraud solution development and implementation. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing, defining, and supporting the implementation of fraud detection systems and features, working closely with cross-functional teams including Forensics, CRM, Big Data, and Development.
Conduct holistic analysis of required fraud solutions, including source systems and integration requirements.
Manage the implementation of new fraud detection features and functionalities.
Collaborate with the Forensic Analysis team, CRM system owners, Big Data Platform team, and other business stakeholders to design and implement fraud solutions.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather and refine business requirements.
Document and analyze business needs in a clear, structured, and concise format.
Develop detailed use cases and user stories to define system functionality.
Define integration requirements between systems and the fraud detection solution (including writing SQL statements as needed).
Analyze data to ensure it meets internal data quality metrics.
Identify and explain data patterns and trends to support decision-making.
Communicate requirements effectively to the development team and validate developed solutions.
Organize and contribute to user acceptance testing.
Provide architectural and design input, maintaining up-to-date architecture documentation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Conduct post-implementation tests and resolve operational issues.
Support the Security and Privacy by Design Assurance (SPDA) process.
Assist in incident troubleshooting and draft change requests where necessary.
Present quarterly priorities during PI grooming and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery.
Provide regular progress updates during team standups.
Minimum of 8 years' experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills (strong advantage).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
Self-starter with strong ownership mentality.
BCom in Information Systems
BSc in Computer Science
Or a relevant tertiary qualification in a related field
