Business Analyst at Innovative Solutions Group

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes.
2. Ensure full stakeholder engagement and agreement on documented requirements.
3. Collect critical information from meetings and produce actionable outputs.
4. Participate in the solution design process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
5. Define test cases and acceptance criteria for unit and/or user acceptance testing.
6. Assist with unit and/or user acceptance testing to validate solutions.
7. Communicate insights and plans clearly to cross-functional teams and management.
8. Proactively escalate potential risks or issues and propose mitigation strategies.
9. Manage deliverables independently, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Experience and Skills:

1. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
2. Relevant tertiary qualification or a certificate/diploma in Business Analysis from an industry-recognized institution (preferred).
3. Strong understanding of operational processes in the transport industry, experience working with ERP solutions.
4. Effective client communication and ability to facilitate workshops.
5. Skills for Building Process Flows.
6. Process Mapping: Ability to create detailed and accurate process maps using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
7. Business Process Management (BPM): Understanding of BPM principles and methodologies to streamline and optimize workflows.
8. Attention to Detail: Ensuring all steps and interactions within processes are accurately documented.
9. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
10. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document processes clearly.
11. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to improve process efficiency.
12. Skills for Creating BI Reports.
13. Data Modelling and Transformation: Proficiency in data modelling and transforming data from various sources.
14. Data Visualization: Expertise in creating visual reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
15. Data Analysis Expressions (DAX): Knowledge of DAX for creating complex calculations and measures in Power BI or similar.
16. Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
17. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
18. Communication Skills: Ability to present data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
19. Proficient in MS Project and other project management tools.
20. High attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
21. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
22. Proactive and creative thinker who can propose novel solutions.
23. Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
24. Skilled at managing multiple Business Analyst deliverables simultaneously while maintaining quality and focus.
25. Ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
