While digital and online initiatives form an important part of the role, the Business Analyst will also contribute across a diverse range of business transformation, regulatory, operational improvement and product-related projects as required.
A relevant degree, advanced diploma or postgraduate qualification at NQF Level 7, preferably in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analysis or a related field. Approximately ten years’ relevant experience in business analysis, systems analysis, technology delivery, digital enablement or a related environment. Demonstrated experience in gathering, analysing, documenting and managing complex business and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data flows and detailed requirements specifications. Working knowledge of user experience and user interface principles, particularly in relation to online tools, digital journeys or customer-facing platforms. A sound understanding of data flows, databases, data structures, system interfaces, data validation and data integrity. Experience mapping business and system requirements to downstream data, operational and reporting processes. Experience working with business and technology stakeholders to support solution design, testing, implementation and post-implementation validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex processes and translate them into clear, practical requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Financial services, wealth management or investment industry experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of offshore investment products, cross-jurisdictional processes or regulatory reporting requirements would be a distinct advantage. Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, requirements management tools and process-modelling techniques would be beneficial.
