- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support the planning, execution, and optimisation of finance-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology, ensuring the successful delivery of financial projects by gathering requirements, analysing data, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the finance, marketing, operations and HR and document business requirements for business wide projects.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems, reporting tools, and process automation.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to support decision-making.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and tracking to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Work with stakeholders to define and document financial workflows, policies, and procedures.
- Developing automated dashboards and tools to monitor and measure core business level Key Performance Indicators
- Monitoring
- Liaise with the executive team to highlight areas in which Key Performance Indicators, project timelines and core metrics are not being met, and working with the executive team to develop actionable plans to remediate.
- Assist in risk management, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Communicate project updates and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, financial operations, or project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Proficiency in preparing presentations and presenting to the executive team
- Experience with financial systems (Xero, or similar) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years working experience
- A finance or business degree, with certification in Business Analysis, Business Administration or Project Management
- Experience in a consulting environment is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
