Job description

A contract position has become available for a BUSINESS ANALYST to join the technology department of a leading client in the banking sector.

Business Analyst

Employment Type:

3 Months – Remote Employment Contract, (Renewable)

Overview:

The Business Analyst facilitates collaboration among business and cross-competency teams to understand, analyze, and document business functions and requirements. Responsibilities include process analysis, business process modeling, and requirements analysis. The role involves working with stakeholders, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, System Architects, System Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to develop and implement solutions within the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Requirements Gathering: Collect requirements from the business, create documentation such as Business Requirement Definitions, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria. Define functional solutions aligned with organizational needs, track requirements throughout the project lifecycle, and translate requirements into User Acceptance Criteria for UAT.
  2. Planning & Organizing: Prepare for elicitation activities, organize and prioritize requirements, model requirements, verify correctness, and validate solutions. Work with business leaders to translate strategic initiatives from concept to implementation.
  3. Business Analysis Activities: Collaborate with project leads on planning, scope definition, stakeholder analysis, communication planning, risk identification, and organizational readiness. Plan for adoption of new techniques and tools.
  4. Delivery & Support: Create requirement packages, ensure understanding and implementation, manage traceability, perform impact analysis, coordinate testing, and support implementation.
Background and Experience:

BTech, BSc in Computer Science, or BCom with a focus on information systems (preferred). PASA accreditation is a plus. Minimum 3 years of experience in the credit card business. Experience with digital channels, Salesforce, and Marketing Cloud is preferred. CRM and sales generation experience are beneficial.
