Unitrans is seeking to employ professional bus drivers with proven experience. Drivers will operate buses to transport passengers on scheduled routes, ensuring safety and compliance with traffic laws.

Responsibilities include controlling lighting, heating, and ventilation for passengers, observing prescribed speeds, and signaling to ensure passenger safety. The role requires holding the appropriate license and a PrDP. This category involves restricted commercial contrast not subsidized by the government.

Qualifications and Skills

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and code of conduct
• Adhere to passenger rules and regulations
• Read and understand the driver’s manual and company policies
• Report incidents, near misses, and property damage promptly
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and record deviations or malfunctions
• Participate in safety and training sessions
• Register passengers and ensure vehicle cleanliness and refueling
• Maintain accurate logs and records of activities and hours
• Adhere to traffic laws, speed limits, and authorized stops
• Ensure vehicle security, including key removal and wheel chocks
• Use seat belts and drive with a valid license and RAC2 card
• Report vehicle damages and comply with collection times
• Avoid unauthorized route deviations and stops after passenger unloading

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification: Grade 12, specific driver training, and licenses in categories CE G, CE PG, and C G
• Experience: At least 5 years in similar roles
