Our estate in Everdon (KwaZulu-Natal Midlands), near Howick, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Bus Driver.

Requirements

Purpose of the role:

To safely transport school children to and from schools in and around Howick daily, and to transport sick workers to medical facilities when necessary. This involves operating the Quantum school bus, adhering to traffic laws, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort. The driver must also maintain the cleanliness, safety, and basic functionality of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Operating the bus, following traffic laws, and ensuring passenger safety throughout the journey.
• Adherence to Schedule: Following designated routes and schedules, making stops at assigned locations, and ensuring timely arrivals.
• Customer Service: Assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting mechanical issues, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Communication: Maintaining communication with dispatchers or supervisors, reporting incidents, and providing clear information to passengers.
• Record Keeping: Completing reports, inspections, and logs as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12
• Over 5 years of relevant driving experience
• Code C1 valid driver's license
• PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
