What you will do

The main purpose of the role is to pursue, secure and maintain customers in the purchase of total life cycle support from Volvo Penta, securing the above purpose with sound parts inventory and price management principles.

Reporting: This position reports to Service Market Manager.

Job Objectives

Strategic:

  • Increase B2B (Business to Business) sales including service contracts, meet or exceed parts sales budgets, and promote special offers through Dealers & OEMs.
  • Assist the Volvo Penta Dealer Network in maintaining an efficient and relevant network compliant with Volvo Penta Dealer Operating Standards.
  • Manage and maintain an effective Parts Inventory and Pricing strategy in collaboration with RDC (Regional Distribution Centre), ensuring alignment with business plan objectives.

Operational:

  • Ensure timely resolution of technical problems.
  • Act as a first-line contact to assist the Volvo Penta Dealer Network.
  • Coordinate between Volvo Penta industrial and marine units, Volvo Group SA Head Office, and the Dealer Network to meet customer expectations.
  • Support dealer and OEM development initiatives to ensure sustainable growth and performance.
  • Lead and support dealers/OEMs to achieve profitability per business plan.
  • Promote the benefits of genuine parts and explain technical product differences.
  • Manage Key Accounts (Fleet Customers) and drive activity with dealers.
  • Conduct customer engagement activities with dealers and OEMs.
  • Visit dealer sites and fleet customers regularly as needed.
  • Review monthly performance with RDC to ensure parts availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement aftersales sales campaigns.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable plans to meet strategic goals.
  • Adhere to and improve Volvo Penta processes for profitability.
  • Analyze and report data to management.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Industrial Market and Diesel Engine functions.
  • Experience in defining and leading Aftermarket Sales Campaigns for B2B and Retail channels.
  • Key Account Management experience.

Education:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Management (preferred).
  • Technical tertiary qualification (desirable).
