Job summary

SENET is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-Bulk Material Handling to ensure the technical integrity of the discipline from concept to execution. The role emphasizes adherence to standards, safe design, and proper communication of deviations for risk mitigation.

You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, review and sign off on deliverables, and assist in cost forecasting and scheduling. Bachelor-level engineering with ECSA registration is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; ECSA registration preferred.
• Professional Engineer/Technician/Technologist registration with ECSA.
• Conveyor and bulk solids material flow courses completed.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate client specifications into design criteria through all design phases.
• Prepare discipline technical specifications and project-specific updates.
• Ensure design work complies with RAMBOE and safety standards.
• Coordinate with other engineers to ensure effective information transfer.
• Review drawings, calculations and models; sign off deliverables.
• Prepare material take-offs and BOMs accurate for costing.
• Support procurement with defined discipline scope and specs.
• Coach junior engineers and oversee draftspersons to reduce rework.
• Attend project meetings and monitor man-hour forecasting and costs.
