  • Strong expertise in construction-related contracts (JBCC, NEC, GCC, CIDB, FIDIC).

Are you an experienced legal professional with a passion for the built environment and infrastructure projects?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Built Environment Legal Specialist to provide expert legal advice and ensure regulatory compliance within infrastructure delivery transactions. This role is pivotal in managing legal risk, developing and reviewing contracts, and safeguarding significant infrastructure portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission as an Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa
  • At least 7 years’ experience advising on construction law, procurement law, and contract management within the built environment
  • Strong expertise in construction-related contracts including JBCC, NEC, GCC, CIDB, and FIDIC
  • Deep knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
  • Proven ability to navigate complex legal concepts and communicate them in practical business terms
  • Experience in mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes
  • Familiarity with infrastructure market dynamics and government systems at national and provincial levels
