Job description

Our client is looking for a Building Manager urgently.

The Building Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a building or group of buildings, ensuring they run smoothly and meet the needs of tenants and the owner. Responsibilities include writing job cards for maintenance, ensuring the building is safe and secure, maintaining cleanliness standards, and acting as the first point of contact for tenants and owners regarding related issues.

A Building Manager's duties also include ensuring tenants pay rent on time and carrying out instructions from the Head Office.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Building Operations: Managing daily activities, including maintenance, security, and cleanliness.
  2. Maintenance & Repairs: Overseeing completion of maintenance tasks.
  3. Safety & Security: Ensuring the building is safe and secure.
  4. Tenant Relations: Addressing tenant concerns and maintaining positive relationships.
  5. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
  6. Budget Management: Managing the building's finances and record keeping, including rent collection.
  7. Supervision: Supervising maintenance staff, security personnel, and other personnel.

Specific Tasks May Include:

  • Conducting regular building inspections.
  • Responding to tenant inquiries and complaints.
  • Managing vendor contracts for services like upkeep and waste removal.
  • Overseeing operation and maintenance of building systems.
  • Creating monthly performance reports.
