Role Purpose

To attract, engage, and retain profitable new business from brokers within the target market to increase the broker base and enhance channel profitability.

Requirements

FSB recognized qualification with at least credits, as per the latest Board notice, to fulfill the duties of a compliant supervisor.

FAIS Representative Regulatory Exam Level 5 (desirable).

Class of Business 3 and 7 (investments and long-term insurance).

Valid driver's license and own transport.

At least 2 years' experience as a Broker Consultant.

Product knowledge and competitor intelligence.

Proficiency in English and ability to speak multiple languages, including some African languages (preferred).

Experience in the Mass Market and Stop Order industry.

Existing network of FSPs.

Experience with FAIS Tier 1 long-term insurance and pension products.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing plans to outperform competitors.

Analyze competitor strategies and stay updated on market activity.

Promote the Metropolitan brand and solutions to brokers.

Identify broker needs and provide support.

Negotiate with intermediaries regarding business levels and service requirements.

Market Metropolitan solutions through presentations and training.

Build and maintain relationships with brokers to grow market share.

Ensure adherence to company processes and policies in relationship management.

Use technology and update industry knowledge regularly.

Prepare quotations, process applications, and manage premium payments.

Lead marketing initiatives to acquire profitable new business.

Manage and monitor the quality and risk of business.

Handle administrative tasks related to payments and contracts.

Train brokers on Metropolitan products and services.

Monitor service standards and resolve issues promptly.

Drive client service delivery to meet standards.

Manage client queries and improve service processes.

Report on service delivery and client targets.

Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.

Build and sustain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Manage service level agreements and expectations.

Recommend improvements for client service and fair treatment.

Participate in fostering a culture of excellent client service.

Provide leadership and expertise to colleagues.

Continuously develop industry and subject matter knowledge.

Manage change positively and support innovation.

Monitor financial market trends and update plans accordingly.

Present financial performance data to clients for better decision-making.

Conduct financial needs analysis to develop tailored financial plans.
