Role Purpose
Attract, engage, and retain profitable new business from brokers within the target market to increase the broker base and enhance channel profitability.
Requirements
- Grade 12/NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
- FSB recognized qualification listed or credits pertaining to the date of first appointment in the industry, listed on the most recently published Board notice as published for recognized qualification, to fulfill the duties of a compliant supervisor (minimum 120 Credits).
- FAIS Representative Regulatory Exam Level 5 passed (desirable).
- Class of Business 3 and 7 (investments and long-term insurance).
- Valid driver's license and own transport.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Broker Consultant.
- Product knowledge and competitor intelligence.
- Proficient in English with the ability to speak multiple languages, including some African languages (preferred).
- Experience in the Mass Market and Stop Order industry.
- Must have a healthy network of FSPs.
- Experience with FAIS Tier 1 long-term insurance and pension products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing plans to outperform competitors.
- Analyze competitor strategies and stay updated on market activity.
- Promote and market Metropolitan solutions to brokers to influence sales.
- Identify broker needs and provide support.
- Negotiate with intermediaries regarding business levels and service requirements.
- Conduct marketing presentations and training.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers to grow market share.
- Ensure adherence to policies and represent the company professionally.
- Utilize technology and update industry knowledge.
- Handle quotations, applications, and premium payment arrangements.
- Manage marketing initiatives to secure profitable new business.
- Maintain quality and manage risks associated with business.
- Handle administration tasks such as missed payments and after-sales service.
- Deliver broker training on products and services.
- Monitor service delivery standards and resolve issues promptly.
- Drive client service excellence and manage client queries.
- Report on service delivery and client targets.
- Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships and contribute to client service standards.
- Manage service level agreements and recommend improvements.
- Participate in cultivating a culture of feedback, relationships, and service excellence.
- Provide leadership and expertise, influencing change and innovation.
