About the role

As a commercial & industrial property leasing and sales Broker, you will play a crucial role in canvassing potential tenants, building and nurturing relationships, and ensuring the optimal leasing of our vacant properties.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Initiating contact with prospective tenants.
  2. Negotiating lease terms.
  3. Closing deals to secure favorable terms for JHI.

What you will bring

  1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably as a property broker.
  2. Proven expertise in market trends, deal-making complexities, and negotiations.
  3. Strong knowledge of space marketing trends and marketing principles.
  4. Effective prospecting and canvassing techniques.
  5. Understanding of financial principles such as interest accounting and time value of money.
  6. Valid driver's license.
  7. Demonstrated ability to close deals successfully.
  8. In-depth understanding of property market trends and lease terms.
  9. Insight into client requirements and relevant statutory and legal aspects.
  10. Awareness of leasing practices, business trends, and property location specifics.
  11. For industrial properties: knowledge of regional transportation, utilities, and labor supply.
  12. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  13. Proficiency in negotiation, financial and business acumen, impact and influence, and assertiveness.
  14. Teamwork and Cooperation: Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with others.

What you will be doing

  1. Proactively identify and reach out to potential tenants to market JHI's available commercial and industrial spaces.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing tenants to ensure high occupancy rates.
  3. Conduct market research to understand tenant needs and market trends.
  4. Negotiate lease agreements and terms to achieve the best possible outcomes for JHI.
  5. Manage the leasing process from initial contact through to deal closure, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all parties involved.
  6. Collaborate with the internal team to strategize and implement effective marketing and leasing strategies.
