We are looking for a highly skilled Broadcast Sound Engineer with expertise in live radio production, podcast engineering, and digital audio streaming to ensure top-quality sound production for our diverse programming. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional passionate about broadcast technology, audio engineering, and the evolving digital media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Live Broadcast Engineering: Oversee the technical production of live radio shows ensuring seamless audio quality, mixing, and transmission.
Podcast & On-Demand Production: Record, edit, and master high-quality podcast episodes for distribution across multiple platforms.
Studio & Remote Recording: Manage in-studio and remote audio setups for interviews, panel discussions, and virtual events.
Sound Design & Enhancement: Apply advanced audio processing techniques including equalization, noise reduction, and mastering.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues during live broadcasts ensuring uninterrupted transmissions.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and optimize broadcast consoles, microphones, processors, and digital audio workstations.
Collaboration with Producers & Hosts: Work closely with show producers, journalists, and hosts to create engaging and professional audio experiences.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Broadcast Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in live radio broadcasting, digital streaming, or podcast production.
Proficiency in industry-standard audio software (e.g. Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Reaper, or Logic Pro).
Hands-on experience with radio automation systems.
Strong understanding of IP-based broadcasting, remote audio setups, and digital signal processing.
Experience working with multiplatform audio distribution and online streaming services.
Knowledge of sound design principles, acoustics, and audio mixing for speech-driven content.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure live environments.
Exceptional attention to detail and sound quality standards.
