Breakfast Attendants are responsible for assembling and disassembling breakfast buffets and ensuring that the buffet always remains well-stocked for a great breakfast. In full-service establishments, Breakfast Attendants receive requests from customers and communicate them to the kitchen staff, and clear tables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
- Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the individual property.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Greet guests upon arrival and make them feel welcomed, always following the 5/10 rule.
- Provide quality service to all guests by responding to their requests promptly, and efficiently.
- Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean, and provide quality breakfast products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Responsible for creating an impressive breakfast experience for all guests.
- Clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables, wiping dining tables, cleaning and replenishing tabletop condiments throughout the shift.
- Provide information and assistance to hotel guests regarding local and property amenities.
- Assist guest efficiently and courteously in all hospitality related functions, while ensuring that all breakfast service is being maintained and served according to brand standards.
Inventory breakfast items regularly; order or purchase items as necessary or provide an order for the manager.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public areas.
- Show initiative in job performance by anticipating the needs of guests and team members.
- Follow all company’s policies, procedures, and meet standards.
- Must maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any safety issues to management immediately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
- Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
- Must be a team player.
