Job Description

The Brand Manager will lead the development, positioning, and consistent execution of the brand across all touchpoints. This role is responsible for driving brand growth, increasing brand equity, and expanding market share through strategy formation, translation, and oversight of its execution. Responsibilities include creating marketing plans, developing innovative campaigns aligned with product input and merch strategies. The Brand Manager acts as the brand custodian, ensuring all activities reflect HOM's strategic direction to create differentiated communication that builds brand identity, drives customer loyalty, and meets business goals. The incumbent will also focus on increasing brand awareness, analyzing research and insights, delivering campaigns, and achieving sales and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

Brand Equity Growth

  • Drive execution of the annual customer-centric, 360-degree strategic marketing calendar aligned with the sales funnel.
  • Present seasonal strategies and marketing campaigns with metrics and objectives using the internal strategic framework.
  • Explore new innovative solutions and platforms to reach customers across touchpoints.
  • Plan strategic campaigns proactively and optimize workflows.
  • Ensure consistent execution across media, activations, in-store, digital, etc.
  • Apply strong digital marketing expertise in content review, PR/influencer partnerships, and digital strategy formation.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising in agile campaign planning.
  • Track retail trends, seasonal product trends, shopper behavior, research insights, and current trade opportunities.
  • Manage a team of Junior Brand Managers and creative staff.

Meeting Production Efficiencies

  • Manage delivery of monthly campaigns.
  • Create briefs for internal teams and agencies.
  • Ensure timely product handovers.
  • Oversee strategic content creation, ensuring innovative, on-brand, and consistent communication across media channels.
  • Supervise all brand shoots and productions, both video and static.

Data Insight Reporting and Improvement

  • Manage research initiatives to gather brand health and customer insights.
  • Utilize data to improve customer journey and experience at all brand touchpoints.
  • Commission studies to enhance understanding of customer communication.
  • Leverage research data to inform decisions and prepare business cases.

Budget Management

  • Manage budgets to ensure effective marketing outcomes.
  • Oversee financial administrative tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Align with finance on supplier terms.
  • Control expenditure to maximize production and media returns while maintaining low operational costs.

Campaign Tracking and Strategy

  • Build and present performance reports for marketing initiatives.
  • Compile postmortem reports to review marketing activities and implement improvements.
  • Track online and offline initiatives with correct transactional data.
  • Report macro effects impacting brand positioning.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Brand Management, or relevant field; Postgraduate or Honours preferred.
  • 6+ years' experience, preferably in retail (fashion industry advantageous).
  • Knowledge of merchandise marketing calendar planning, budget management, digital marketing, and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
  • Proven success in developing and executing brand campaigns and activations.
  • Experience in fashion retail, digital marketing, media buying, and customer service.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of merchant processes.
