Job Title: Brand Manager

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Essential Functions:

  1. Conduct market research to stay updated on customer trends and predict future trends.
  2. Develop strategies and manage brand marketing campaigns across print, broadcast, and online platforms to meet customer expectations and enhance brand credibility.
  3. Analyze the success of marketing campaigns and create performance reports.
  4. Supervise advertising, product design, and other marketing activities to ensure brand consistency.
  5. Manage a team of managers, coordinators, and assistants.
  6. Define and implement brand communication strategies using various media for internal and external audiences.
  7. Create, execute, and oversee marketing programs and campaigns.
  8. Act as the custodian of the brand, maintaining brand integrity.
  9. Possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
  10. Support media, retail, brand, CSI, online, and activation initiatives.
  11. Resolve escalated issues effectively and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  12. Continuously improve processes, governance, tools, technology, and standards to establish best practices.
  13. Coach and develop team members to enhance individual performance and ensure cultural alignment.
  14. Conduct regular development conversations and support team members' growth and contribution to the company culture.

Requirements:

  1. Grade 12 (Matric certificate required).
  2. Tertiary education or a Marketing Degree is advantageous.
  3. 5+ years of experience in a senior marketing or brand management role preferred.
  4. Ability to create, interpret, and present data and reports.
  5. Full understanding of marketing pillars.
