Main Duties / Responsibilities
  • Preparation of all elements of the Profit and Loss statement for management approval prior to budget/business review.
  • Direct the production of business/budget review materials.
  • Preparation and development of strategic plans for PCP categories for approval by the Commercial Director.
  • Direct the implementation of approved strategies.
  • Plan products launches and relaunches in detail.
  • Ensure prompt and tactful responses to trade and consumer queries.
  • Recommend and review pricing strategies and price increase proposals prior to management approval.
  • Keep management informed of all important group activities.
  • Recommend means to achieve company profit objectives for the Personal Care Group.
  • Provide first-level management supervision/direction of category activities.
  • Assign priorities within the group and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Train and develop group personnel to ensure continued career progression.
  • Assess subordinates' progress and recommend actions to improve efficiency.
  • Review and approve marketing projects prior to presentation or implementation.
  • Review periodical reports such as media and promotional plans, estimates, agency proposals, packaging designs, research briefs, and data analysis.
  • Regularly liaise with departments including Brand Accounting, Technicians, Packaging, Legal, Purchasing, Planning, and Sales on relevant matters.
Level of Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing; Honours Degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years brand management experience (preferably in an FMCG environment) with exposure to core marketing competencies: consumer insight, strategy, budget & planning, promotions management, business & financial management, new product development, media, advertising, and an understanding of trade.

Computer Literacy

Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
